Spread the love

Do you have a love for film and film events and want to help Cinemagic?

Cinemagic relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of volunteers supporting our events. We are grateful for our many volunteers, who are important in assisting the delivery of Cinemagic.

Guide for Applicants

Venues/Event Delivery

Volunteering in one of our venues puts you very much at the forefront of the Cinemagic Festival. As many of our volunteers are film lovers themselves, you get the opportunity to contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of an international film festival.

Volunteering in our festival venues includes ticketing, ushering, roving mic, box office (ticket collections), and general venue operations (event assistance, audience surveys, liaising with event staff and artists, customer queries & information point of contact). Through a co-ordination of this our venue staff ensure the smooth running of the Festival schedule.

Office Administration & Event Preparation

In these areas volunteers have the opportunity to participate in the daily workings of a film festival and will get a taste of a range of departments: administration, production, volunteers coordination and box office.

Ideal for those seeking experience in arts and events co-ordination and management.

Marketing Volunteers

Volunteers may join in the marketing of the festival, participating in market research and conducting surveys to find out more how our audience perceives the event and the festival as a whole.

Working closely with the Festival Marketing Team, this is an opportunity to help communicate information about the festival to as many people as possible, maintaining quality and consistency of messaging across all platforms.

Cinemagic operates an inclusive volunteer programme which welcomes volunteers aged 18+ of all ethnicities and volunteers from all backgrounds. The festival relies on people with a wide variety of skills.

Please be aware that the Festival cannot provide any living, travel or accommodation expenses to volunteers. Cinemagic is a not-for-profit organisation, and our budgets are limited. Submission of this application form is not a guarantee of receiving a volunteer placement.
